The Community Resource Fair scheduled for October 3rd, has been postponed due to flooding.

It has been rescheduled to October 23rd from 4-6 PM at the Monroe Center.


The Housing Authority of the City of Freeport (HACF) has been monitoring the weather and the river levels.  At this point the river is currently at 15.27 ft.  By Monday October 7, 2019 the river is forecasted to crest (the highest point it is expected to be at during this time) at 15.6 ft. The flood stage is currently 13 ft.  What this means is that flooding is expected for the duration of the week. Please remember the following:

  •   Never drive or walk in flood water. 
  •   Please watch all children and pets around all flooded areas.
  •   As always please stay safe.

Reminder, you can now pay your rent online.  If you have questions or are interested in this service please contact the Property Manager.

HACF will now be able to send you updates, appointment reminders, announcements, and etc. via email and text. If you are interested in this service please fill out a consent form. Consent forms can be found at all HACF offices.
